The Constant Elevation Band was a seven-piece Hip Hop group consisting of PiDi-Ice and Tas of Likwid Madder / Rooftop Raskalls on the mic, Kris Volk on Guitar, Erik Wraamann on Drums, Rich from Blind Justice on Keys, Cmdr. William Peculiar (a.k.a. Billions McMillions) on the turntables and me on bass. The Cmdr. wasn't a regular member of the band but he stepped in for this session as we hadn't filled the DJ slot yet.

In theory we were supposed to rehearse a few times and play some local shows but in reality we rehearsed a bunch and did nothing after we recorded the demo.

This recording was done at Matt Anderson's Gravity Records studio in Banker's Hill, San Diego and engineered by The Spacewürm (a.k.a. DJ Atari). Every song was recorded live and in one take. This was my first production credit but since I was playing in the studio with the band The Spacewürm had most of the control.

I don't remember if I was told "less bass guitar" but if I was I didn't listen and, in retrospect, the production could have benefited from that advice!
